The Portland Ceili Society is proud to present our second Ceili of the season featuring the best of traditional Irish music and dance. Come celebrate the change of seasons with easy to learn dances in a casual fun atmosphere.
Irish native Felim Egan, who is a button accordion virtuoso, drives the music. Felim is from a musical family whose members who are in Riverdance and Lord of the Dance.
And in the spirit of lengthening shadows, the accompanying musicians shall remain a mystery until revealed by the stomping of feet and roaring of the accordion.
You can also be somewhat of a mystery yourself by donning a costume. Optional of course.
The dances are taught and called, and no experience or partner is needed.
*Note that a Ceili is a traditional Irish social and dance party.
