The 2015 and 2016 season has been challenging for the Portland Ceili Society. Dances have been unprofitable and though the move from the Norse Hall lowered our overhead, we still need better attendance to break even. Hopefully, a month or two of a full hall will keep the doors open for a slower month.
The grant from the Oregon Cultural Trust has been completed and all paperwork submitted. The needed fillings for the state has been sent, insurance for the current season purchased, and our dances booked for January, February, March and April 2017.Invite your friends and have a party. The kitchen area at St Barnabas has been a great gathering place between dances and allows the less than frantic dancer to visit and relax. Brook no excuse and make it to the ceili, and if you do there may still be a ceili to make it to in the future.
